As seen at the 2017 NYC Fashion Week in Chelsea.  Apparently, designer Thom Browne wanted to extend the skating season.  He must *love* "Nightmare Before Christmas."  His fashion is outrageous.  This year, he's outdone himself - the models wore shoes that looked like high-heeled ice skates.

No prob!  And good lord... those shoes!

The tweed lip makeup is really weird!  On the other hand, the little penguin purse with the chain is very cute!  I would totally use it!

Then there are actual high-heeled (okay well almost, on pointe) skates.  She still skates at our rink.

@skategeek have you skated at Byant Park before?  Just an FYI before you go.  Crowded, the ice gets bad quick b/c there are so many people, small and they will often not even let you go backward.  The middle coned off section is teeny tiny and if there's a lesson you can't use it anyway.

And probably full of puddles today. So warm!

Yeah, I'm not expecting to be able to properly skate there (or at Rockefeller Center).  But my daughter refuses to skate at our rink ("it's boring") but loved skating at an outdoor rink in DC over winter break.  So I'm hoping we can at least have a little fun.  I suspect we won't actually end up skating at all but I'm making plans just in case.
