They are at least 10 years old with giant holes in both ends. I have a nice cotton terry towel on my sewing chair set to make a new set. All I have to do is sit down and actually take a half-hour and sew the danged thing.

Okay, my predjudice here. TUFF Terry's are the only ones that last. I've tried other brands, but man they die quick and I never remember the brand.

Same soakers I've had for 20 years. Mom made em as a Christmas  gift. Maybe I'll convince her to make me a new set once my new skates are here. :)

No clue-I thought I was ordering terry but it's super fluffy
The first time I saw these (I ordered late at night and clearly wasn't paying enough attention) I thought "Yikes-I now have cookie monster soakers"  but they haven't developed holes.  I think I have had them for 3 years or so.

Impossible for me to answer the poll question because I don't use soakers. I dry the blades with a terry cloth and don't put guards on the blades until they reach room temperature to prevent condensation from forming.

I used to have turquoise ones but needed to replace my old ones and light lavender was all the skate shop had that I liked in my price range.

Homemade ones sound lovely though.
