Taking a pulse on current boot brands.   If I left any brand off, let me know.

I've voted for my free boots (which are Graf), but it doesn't let me vote twice and my dance boots are Jacksons.

Changed the poll options so you can choose up to three brands.  You can remove your vote and then choose both brands.

To all: this poll is for boots that you use currently.  If you aren't using them, don't log them.

Thanks. Amended vote. I think I'm relatively unusual having dance and free boots.

Klingbiel is missing.  That's what I wear.

*Dope Slap to Own Head*  It was on my typed list, just missed it while copying and pasting.  Thanks!

Risport is also missing. They're still fairly common in Europe along with WIFA.

Risport.  Not married to it though.

Yeah, I'm a Jackson girl, but we're about to get a divorce since Harlick came out with X-line. But the poll is about what I'm skating in 'now', so it's the Jax.

Another Risport skater here. They pretty much fit my feet perfectly right out of the box, so haven't tried anything else other than a very early and very poorly matched pair of GAMs.

TreSk8sAZ

Harlick, and I'm pretty much married to them. I had an affair with Klings, hated them, and went back to Harlick.

An affair, eh? Did it involve sneaking around to strange ice rinks so you wouldn't be seen together, or did you just flaunt it openly and not care?  ;)

Disported RISPORT is now an option.  Sorry.

ETA: Second apology on behalf of my iPad's stupid autocorrect function, the #1 reason why I hate moderating via iPad, lol.

I'm in SPTeri dance boots, and I wear them for everything - I even jump in them a little.  I tried keeping my old boots for freestyle, but couldn't make it work.  These are customs to deal with my bunions, and everything else hurts too much.

kiwiskater

Graf for me....Kiwiskater #2 is in Risport
I was noticing at the club session last weekend a few Edea's are slipping through now - probably because we have a new source of skates, the father of one of the coaches at the rink is a boot & blades man, woo!

iomoon

SP Teri... So expensive.  I could have gone to Harlick, but their hours were catered to people who don't work for a living.  :nvm: "We can do Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m." "I WORK from 8:00-5:00, 40 minutes away. Don't you have weekend appointments?" "Oh, I'm sorry, you can try SP Teri."  88)

Jackson (Classique), but not through any sort of thought-out decision making process... the hockey-oriented pro shop I started with only had those and Riedells, and I'd read that they were better for wider feet.

The x-line has been out for a while.. at least 5 years, probably longer :)

I'm about to change to Harlick from Jackson as well, mostly because they keep changing their boot lineup and I can't even order the same boots I currently have without getting a full custom from them - and rather than having them approximate a prior stock boot for me, if I'm paying for customs, I want true customs made for my feet, so I plan on meeting with Phil Kuhn for a fitting in April :)

That said, I do love my Jacksons... they are hands down the best fitting and most comfortable boots I've ever had, but I hate that the model of boot I currently wear was only introduced 3 years ago (I bought mine almost 2 years ago) and is already discontinued.  Something just seems fishy about that.

Agree - with mine it seemed like the design changed almost yearly. Either that or they had different designs between the US and Canada?

Completely married to my Harlicks.  Phil is awesome to work with (I typically work with him via phone) and have only had one ill fitting pair in 10 years.  He made those right for me, though, and apologized.  :)

Jacksons here ! Fitted with a slightly longer dance blade than what I have been using. I have always skated both freestyle, pairs, synchro, and dance on the shorter dance blades.

I wear Riedell boots with an Eclipse blade  :)

Jackson Mystiques here - and I think it might be the start of a long and happy marriage to Jackson skates. I love the fit, and haven't had many problems - the worst being a slightly pinched little toe and a red mark from the top of the left boot when they were new.
