I'm going away on business and saw that the Tucker Road Ice Rink in Fort Washington, MD has afternoon/evening freestyle sessions.  Are they crowded or high-level only?  Are there any places to eat or shop nearby?

I think I have been there once in 7th grade for a school field trip.  That probably wasn't helpful.  :)

Never been there, but when I hear "Tucker Road Ice Rink," I imagine a place that's 1/4 ice rink, 3/4 bar with NASCAR on constantly.

Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/

Very cool! Thanks for posting the clip Agnes. I taught at Tucker Road for about 2 years several years back. The young man in the video was my student until I moved away from the area. So happy to see that he is still skating . . . and looking pretty darn good too! Wow, did he grow.

The FS sessions at TR were usually fairly empty. The ice was very good for the most part. It's been a few years since I was there. The skating director, Natalie, has been working very hard at building up the USFS Basic Skills program. It was strictly ISI before she got there. I'll pm you with more specifics.
