Proskaters is hosting a Virtual Skate Off for professionals.

ProSkaters is excited to announce the 2012 Virtual Skate Off (VSO), this time with the first ever public vote! Help bring back the excitement of professional skating by showing off your own performance to friends and family around the globe. Then, invite them to VOTE! Lace up those skates and get rolling on something everyone will love this year!

Here is what you need to know:

Deadline

You have until November 1, 2012 to post your video.

Elimination rounds

Round 1 will be judged by the public to choose the top five in each category.
Round 2 will be judged by ProSkater members, where the winners will be chosen.

Cash prizes

First place: $500 value
Second place: $250 value
Third place: $125 value


Categories

Men's singles
Women's singles
Pairs/Adagio
Specialty Acts (comedy, show acts, aerial, acrobat, etc.)
Choreography (group of five or more)

Very interesting.

It doesn't appear to be a sanctioned event, so anyone who still competes USFSA should be very careful about entering.
