MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS HIDDEN!!!

Someone reported that their email address was not hidden by default when you first sign up.

Make sure you check your settings.

Choose "PROFILE" from the top navigation bar.
Your profile will open up.
Choose "Account Related Settings" from the "Modify Profile" menu on the left.

Next to the question, "Hide email address from public?" make sure there's a check in the box.
(That means "Yes, hide my email address from the public.")
Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Enter your current password and then click "Change profile" to effect the change.


Note: Whenever YOU view your own profile while logged in, you can see your own email address.  Board Admins and Mods can view it regardless of the setting.

If this box is checked and the settings updated, that will prevent guests and other members from seeing the email ID. 


Please try to take care of this right away - we don't want anyone to get spammed.

Is mine hidden? It says I am a email user when I look at my profile. I thought I said to hide it??
If it isn't, do you know how I can change that?

Administrators, Moderators and you yourself can see it, but to everyone else it is hidden.

(I just checked with my test ID.  Your profile email said "hidden.")

It's that "manual systems" experience from my first job.  I've written lots of user manuals and set up tickler files.  It's much easier with computers, believe me.
