Just received an email from the USFSA Nominating Committee.  They are accepting nominations for members to the Board of Directors and Committee Chairs.  In order to nominate someone, you have to be 18 and a member of US Figure Skating.

(I don't know if Basic Skills members are eligible to make nominations.)

Each year the Nominating Committee is charged with selecting qualified individuals to replace members of the Board of Directors whose terms are expiring.  In addition, the Nominating Committee recommends to the President the appointment of all Committee Chairs.

The Nominating Committee seeks the names of interested candidates from several sources.  One of these sources is our membership.  All members of U.S. Figure Skating, 18 years of age or older, can make their recommendations to the Nominating Committee on line via the U.S. Figure Skating Members Only web page - https://www.usfsaonline.org.  This web page shows the current office holders and the number years of served in the position.

The Nominations web page is now open and will remain open through December 31, 2011.

You have to have a current online ID to access the Members Only site.  If you don't have one, use this link to set it up:

A few notes from the webpage:

Quote
•  Persons must be 18 years of age or older and a current member of U.S. Figure Skating.
•  There is only one recommendation per position. Once you make a recommendation for a position, that position is closed and you cannot change it.
•  Please include a list of your candidates qualifications under the "Qualifications" field.
•  All recommendations will close December 31, 2011.
