I like xanboni! I have a kid skating, it solves hidden mysteries and puts things into a more clear perspective.  Plus I am usually laughing seeing myself as one of her parents.

Skittl1321

I like xan-boni a lot.

I used to really enjoy Ice Mom, but slightly less so after she changed over her site, the redesign made the "feel" really different.  Now she hasn't posted in a very long time. I wonder whether her daughter stopped skating.

Among adult skaters, I am of course partial to my journal :)
I really liked skatejournal.com  but she seems to have stopped skating (has YEARS of archive though)
I also like stephaniesspin.wordpress.com

I noticed when icemom changed sites it felt less warm and fuzzy.

Oh forgot http://rinkside-blog.blogspot.com/ It is fun to read but I get confused because I feel like I read the topics here and then see her blog and they tend to have similar topics going on, it's probably just because it's the same subject! ;D

I like your blog - I never ever add up comp fees.  it's MUCH easier to think of it over the course of time, not on just the one day.   :sweat

Isk8NYC

The rinkside author is one of our main contributors, so she probably comments on or introduces the topics on both sites.

That is super cool!  My daughter loves her video's on youtube.

Adding...I've read a lot of blogs turned into books and wouldn't be surprised to see her solicited for a book based on it.

I like Ice Pact.  I follow her on twitter too.

QuoteCoach Needs-More-Vodka hadn't passed her either.

ROFLOL!  Too funny.

I am convicted of quoting Xanboni to no end, ha.

Why me, St. Lidwina may be a very fun read for new skating parents.

Same feeling about ice mom: it's very different after the design change. And the website does not open at the moment either...

Not a blog, but the archive of our forum is always a wonderful read.

Her youtube vids are so helpful! Did not realize there is a blog too.
Thank you hopskipjump for starting this thread!

Xanboni! and Why me, St. Lidwina started a weekly #skatemoms chat on Twitter, which sounds like a lot of fun :)
http://xan-boni.blogspot.com/2011/07/skatemoms-chat.html

searchhash.com can show the latest chat in its entirety, but participating is always better than lurking!

I also like the new blog naked ice on elite skating.

Kay changed careers, so I think she did stop coaching and skating.  She was a great resource for technical information and her archives are awesome.

I just found that blog by accident - it's good!

I just found this blog
http://icemusings.blogspot.com/
It goes over every skater in every competition and comments on their scores. If you don't get a chance to watch a particular skater you can get a run down of how they did in their competition. I don't know how accurate it is, but it's certainly more informative than the ex-olympians who chatter on and don't know the new judging system as well as they should.

Haha Little Prince vibe!

This is a nice blog for newbies and their parents - not too technical, very practical and focused on staying within your budget.

Also, ahem, I have a blog. I'm ashamed to admit I haven't updated it since March, right about the time I found out I was moving.

I was looking for wacky skating photos and found that this blog has them all cataloged, with a very funny narrative:
