NHK Trophy Commentary

JOhnny Weir is really good. He does what I call 'golf commentating'. Calm, informed, and about the skating (unlike some other commentators who can't shut up_
Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/

I didn't catch the NHK coverage this afternoon but have generally liked his commentary very much - he is very knowledgeable and kind towards the skaters.  Tanith is also very good and very nice.  Tara... she is okay but of the three my least favorite.

His look is always flamboyant (I somehow think he thinks he invented flamboyancy) - but his commentary is spot-on!

So, apart from The Fabulous Mr Weir,  what skating stood out?

For me, definitely the Shibutani's "Fix You" FD.  It's been a long time since any skating of any discipline has moved me, but that one brought tears to my eyes.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9Zvl9THlwA
