Differences between Mondor jackets 4482 and 4483?
« on: December 17, 2014, 09:55:53 AM »
Does anyone know if Mondor jackets 4482 and 4483 have a similar fit?  I was able to try on 4483.  On the Mondor website, I think 4482 (with the princess seams) looks more fitted in the photo, which I like.  But I don't have access to that model to try it on.  Wanting the jacket for a new club jacket.

I also thought Mondor ran small.  My measurements fit in the Adult S-P size range but I tried on a Child 12-14 and it fit fine, even sleeve length which is often a problem (I have long arms).  The Child size is about $10 less...

Did you ever find out the difference? I would be curious to know as well :)

No, I didn't.  I ended up buying the 4483.  I really like the sleek look of the 4482 (both the photo and the line drawing) but I decided I needed to stick with what I had been able to try on.

Did you end up getting the child size? Wish it was easier to try on these brands in person!

I did - it fits great.  My old jacket is a Seku adult XS and it fits ok (very snug) but the sleeves are too short so that has always bugged me.  This Mondor jacket fits nicely (fitted but not too snug) and the sleeves are more than long enough.  It will be very comfy.  Yes, it is so hard to order online when you don't know if it will fit or not.  I mostly wear Adult Small in skating clothes but need Medium in one brand, and I was able to wear a Child XL in yet another brand.  That was an eBay leap of faith - I thought the dress would be way too tight but it worked out.  That one was inexpensive enough that I would have tried to resell it had it not fit.  Thank goodness for stretchy lycra.

That's great that it has worked out! I'm wearing seku xs pants (haven't tried tops but my top and bottom are generally in the same size range) so that really helps as I was debating sizes on the princess seam one. So, thank you!

Also, since it sounds like we might be similar in size, have you tried ivviva? (The kids lululemon brand) I can wear size 10-12 in their items and they even have a section geared towards skating.
