I've seen people practicing power circles with a recording that indicates the timing of the crossovers.  Anybody know how to get the recording?

I've never seen/heard a recording, I wonder if it's something specific to your rink - maybe ask one of those skaters when you see them?

I don't personally think that something is really required to pace those correctly as long as you can get the first 3 crossovers at the correct speed/power, the rest kind of naturally falls into place.  When I see a skater struggling with the "timing" they are almost always rushing the first few crossovers and not holding each stroke long enough.

I used to have it but somehow misplaced it, grrrr sorry.

I heard a skater using a recording once and asked my coach about it.  She said it was from 'Annie's Edges'.  This was when I was first learning so I might be mistaken but that's the first time I'd heard of 'Annie's Edges'.

Any chance it was a Canadian skater? Our skills tests - including power circles - had music. Some people still have and use it for timing.

It's a recording of a metronome.  I probably have it stored on my computer somewhere.  You can PM me and I will send it to you.
