Hell all, I am hoping to get advices on cheap waterproof skating pants. My current skating pants get soaked too easily from hydroblades falls grrrr. Preferrably not too warm or too thick (like ski pants) while still waterproof-ish. Ideas? Hmm maybe I should wear waterproof shorts under the skating pants? lol

I am really thinking shorts underneath skating pants will do, 1) to hold padding in place and 2) keep water out.

Are lycra / spandex cycling shorts waterproof in general? Tips and recommendations really appreciated :)

What kind of pants do you use?? Athletic leggings (Under Armour, Nike etc) dry very quickly and maybe what you need.

Some of my pants are more athletic and some are less so, water finds way thru them regardless. After skating sometimes the pants are dry but the undies are wet, hence the desire to change :/

I would burn up if I wore anything waterproof! Plus, I'd be swimming in my own sweat.

There are water repellent coatings you can apply to clothing, sold at outdoors (camping goods) stores. The most knowledgeable salespeople at such stores can direct you to fabrics that wick the moisture to the surface and let it rapidly evaporate.
