Thank you!!  Our goal was and is to be completely inclusive both in that we are offering all of the figures and you can compete whatever you would like regardless of test level, age, etc.

Me too!

I forgot to mention that Oregon features tax-free shopping (we have no sales tax) and beautiful, beautiful natural areas so some people might want to consider a VACATION to Portland in late July (hint-hint)-

It sounds fantastic this year and not to be missed. Since I've already committed myself to May Blades, I guess I'm no longer just on the "test and enjoy your progress" track anymore. And both my primary and my ice dance coach would be THRILLED if I actually expressed even a remote interest in competing in it.

Plus, the shopping in Portland IS fabulous, without question.

I think you've talked me into it  ;)

Good to hear Linda - it will be a good chance for you to get some of your Silver figures test figures out there before the judges - there are a few of us committing to doing BO 8 and I could probably be talked into doing BI8 or Back Serpentines....

Are you going to post videos this year? That would be nice for all of us figures deprived individuals to live vicariously.
Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/

I would love to... not sure it would be allowed but I would love a "Live-feed" - :police:

Hi,

I am new to these forums but found this post (I know it's a few months old...) on figures. I wish I had seen it sooner because I will be in Northern CA that weekend and it would have been an easy trip up to Portland.

I was wondering how many people still do figures? No one that I know of in the Dallas area does them.

I would love to know how the competition goes!

Figures seem to be somewhat of a lost art in figure skating these days, though there is a push in the recent test adjustments to bring them back. I know I'd love to learn them.
