I do agree that over the boot tights look horrid, whatever the colour.

Another issue that put me off black boots was I thought they might not be built to the same specification. ie could be made for a wider foot or heavier skater.

Alot of people recommend buying children's riding hats for adults, as there is a tax saving in the UK. I weighed the same model and size in child and adult sizes, and there was a significant weight difference, so I didnt feel they could do the same job.

Hairy skates would look fab, but would be hard to dry out

White skates probably show off fancy footwork, if one has fancy footwork  :laugh:

Actually quite true.  Men's heels are on average wider than woman's.    Though I presume the range overlaps significantly.

It's a damned shame that men can't show off their fancy footwork ;)   Hey wait, isn't black a contrasting colour to white, after all?  88)   I will suspect though that white boots probably do look effective on black figures ice.
