It's that time of the year again!  The ISU Grand Prix is ramping up with Skate America this weekend, so that means it's time for the USFSA Fantasy Skating Challenge!  http://www.usfsa.org/fantasyskating.asp
(I'm running late this year, sorry.  Busy-busy)

For each major competition, the USFSA groups the competitors/teams into three pools (A, B, and C.)  Select who you think will win each discipline and pool.  The rules have changed this year to include bonus points for top placements and the World Team Trophy competition.  Be sure to read the rules so you understand how the placements work.

Tip: make sure to double-check before picks close for every competition.  Last-minute withdrawals make your picks worthless if you chose them.

I expect to be solidly in the middle of the pack (as usual,) far beyond the weekly/final prizes.  I tend to pick with my heart, not my head.

Join in and have fun!

I'm already in a tie for 170+ place.  Yay me!

My favorite part is reading the names that people picked for their teams.  "Randompicksbycats" made me laugh.

I'm ranked 115 overall, which I don't know how as my individual events were 131T and 197T!

I'm doing so much better on the TSL fantasy skating, I'm 5th overall after two events! Thankfully the dance and pairs teams did what was expected, as my ladies' and men's scores were horrendous. Now the pressure is on to keep doing well, though!

I didn't know The Skating Lesson was running a Fantasy Skating contest!  https://t.co/AVDOzYQZpC

Since I believe in National Bias, it's hard to make picks on their list since it only shows the name, not the country.  Had to use my US Figure Skating pick list to make my choices.

ETA: You are SO right that it's more fun.  I just scrolled down to the wildcard questions and I'm laughing out loud.  Such humor and thought - very creative questions.  I like it - just what I need: another site to visit weekly. I don't know how I missed this since I follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

Thanks for the heads up!

I think the bonus questions are the best part!! They are hilarious, and seriously help out in the score department as well. I told Douglas that he better keep doing well, because I keep picking his team.  ;D
