My girls really want to skate together in the Spring show. Not that I actually know when that is, but they mentioned it to their coach, and he mentioned it today, so I gather it's happening eventually. I'm trying to think of something that would be fun for them. They're 9 years old, identical twins, and cute as buttons (I may be biased here). Their coach said the only thing that came right to mind was "Sisters" from "White Christmas" so I am trying to find alternatives. Any ideas off the top of your head?

"Me and My Shadow"

"Tea for Two"

"Side By Side"

There must be something a big more "modern" but this is what strikes me for right now!

I love it when kids do "duets" of any kind - I did one with a friend when I was 10 or 11 and it was a BLAST!!  I don't know what we skated to though....

- Anything from Frozen (though it's overdone so I recommend against it)
- Stepsister's Lament - Cinderella
- What is this Feeling - Wicked
- Abraham's Daughter - One could be Katniss and one could be Prim
- Dig a little deeper - Princess and the frog
- Dancing with myself - they could dress like mirror images of each other and mirror each other :)
- Ever Ever After - Carrie Underwood

These are good - make sure the music is widely familiar though - otherwise a great deal of the audience won't "get it"!

Good suggestions, keep 'em coming! And yes, sadly we've nixed Frozen, even though it's their favorite and they sing the songs constantly.

Anything you can do, I can do better
My training partner and I skated this as our duet program this year. It was really well received by the audience!

Fun!  I like Dancing with Myself, that would be super cute.

These are awesome suggestions! Totally saving them for future stuff. A friend ended up suggesting the theme song from the Disney show "Liv & Maddie" and all four of us jumped right on board. It's pretty much perfect for them, and they love the show. http://youtu.be/oVnckDEzubU

The Helgesson sisters did a routine to Rocky for their exhibition piece at Europeans this year. They basically had a skate off. I'm sure you can find it on Youtube somewhere. The result of the contest was a fix (as in the older sister won but the younger sister had a better day of it), but it certainly was entertaining. I liked the sit spin contest where it was who fell over last, which is easily replicatable!
That could be fun with Anything you can do, I can do better.

That's hilarious! I am totally saving that idea for when they're older, more skilled, and hopefully a little teensy bit less psychotically competitive with each other!
