So far it has been:
Monday - Adult skate 1 hour
Tuesday - LTS 1/2 hour practice + 1/2 group lesson
Thursday - Adult skate 1 hour

This past weekend I really started getting "ice" withdrawl on Saturday afternoon. May have to get in on Saturday or Sunday.
I'll be up to 4 hours/week starting tomorrow night.

You guys are a dedicated bunch! :)

Davincisop, I'm glad you're back in lessons and getting more ice time!

Slcbelle, I'm jealous of your schedule hehe

Just wanted to bump this thread bc I find it so interesting hehe.

Feel free to update, or weigh in if you haven't already. Lately, I'm lucky to squeeze in 5-10 hours a month. Sad!

Loops

My schedule sadly (for me) stays the same as last year:

Wed night- 1 hour synchro practice
Sat am- 1 hour dance
Sat afternoon 1 hour synchro

So 3 hours a week.  I had hoped to get another hour of dance in this year, but the only one I could theoretically do corresponds with my daughter's gym class.  Maybe next year.  But on the other hand, Yay!!  I get to be on the ice three hours a week!

Since May I've been skating almost 2.5 hrs/week on average... one 30 min class, one 30 min lesson, and one or two practice sessions.  Now that the competition is past I'm going to take a break from the lessons for a bit but I'm hoping to still manage the class and at least one practice.

My skating schedule varies a lot right now, but I'm pretty consistently skating about four hours per week.

Friday - Public (1.5 hrs)
Saturday - Public (1.5 hrs)
Monday - Freestyle (1 hr)

Some weeks, I'm able to get an additional freestyle thrown in there too - normally on Wednesday or Thursday.  I miss being able to skate every weekday, but this schedule is still so much better than not skating at all (or only skating once a week).

-Intermediate MITF (still...)

My schedule has actually changed, since changing clubs so I figure I would chim in again. Currently, I am off the ice for about a week while I deal with some back pain. I#ve also included my off ice , pilates, and ballet classes. Although they are not on-ice time, they do contribute greatly to my skating schedule. All my on-ice sessions are club sessions, so automatically freestyle.

however my typical schedule is:
Mondays: 1 hours (Pilates)
Tuesdays: 2 hours (on-ice)
Wednesdays: 2 hours (on -ice) + 1 hour ( off-ice)
Thursday: 1 hour (Pilates) + 1 hour ( Ballet)
Saturdays: 1.5 hours (on-ice) + 1 hour (off-ice)
Sunday: 2 hours (on-ice)

on ice time: 7.5 hours
off ice training: 2 hours
Pilates and Ballet: 3 hours

I'm a skating slacker this year...

Tuesday 5-6:30
Thursday 5-6:30

In the past, I've attended Sunday public sessions for additional ice time, but work responsibilities this year prevent that.

3 times a week for about 2 hours at a time.  I get one 15 min free skate lesson every time I skate.  I get two 15 minute skills (MITF for you US folk) lessons a week. I have one 15 min dance lesson.  I have one other 15 min lesson which is either dance or skills.  I think this means I split my time between coach and alone pretty evenly.  Many adults have a lot less coaching time, but I find that I work better on my own when I've had a good lesson before hand and have some ideas of what to work on.  I spend a lot of money on ice so I might as well make use of my coach so that I use the ice I paid for.  Also, I live in Canada and when I see the prices some people south of the border pay for coaching, my mouth drops open, so that's something to keep in mind as well.. it's a lot more affordable where I am.

I am skating about 5 hrs per week.  I wish it were more!

Sunday: 1.5 hrs public
Wednesday: 1 hr public, .5 group lesson
Friday: 1 hr private lesson on empty public
Saturday/Sunday/Tuesday: 1 hr freestyle on one of these days

I have two for-sure days:

Wednesday: 30 minute "group" (I'm the entire group!) lesson and I usually skate another 30-60 minutes depending how tired/hungry I am.

Saturday: public session with kids and husband, usually too crowded to work on much, but fun and some practice.

I used to skate on Fridays during  my kids' group lesson, but it's annoyingly crowded and I have a friend whose kid is in lessons too, and we like to watch and talk. If she isn't there I skate. And if I don't have a lot of work during the week, I will sneak over for a nice sparse morning public session, but that's been hard to do lately.

I skate 4 times a week: Monday-Thursday, for 2 hours each. I also have an off-ice class on Tuesdays.

Sigh, I haven't skated regularly in a long time. Lately I've been going once a week, which is better but still clearly not enough. Maybe if I write about it I will feel more inclined to get myself to the rink more often. Life has changed a lot since the days of 30-40 hours or more on ice each week! We are expecting a baby in the next month and a half - I'm already wondering how soon I'll need to worry about a first pair of skates! :P

My daughter has 1 x 30 min private lesson, 1 x 1 hr group lesson (1/2 is practice) and 1-2 publics a week with me because she is just a tad too little for freestyle ice. We would go more but she also has dance/gymnastics 1x a week each for an hour.... any more and little one would get burned out.

I like rereading this thread, so anyone please feel free to chime in with updates

Wow! I guess some of your rinks have much better schedules than mine does! The only morning freestyle is on Thursday. All other freestyles are while I'm working (and I don't get lunch), and the only public skates I can make it to are Friday/Saturday night (if I'm brave enough) and Sunday afternoon (which is scary on its own). If I can convince my bookkeeper to cover the shop for me, I can sneak off to the Wednesday public.

So, really, I only have two reliable days a week. I'm just not up to facing the crazy crowd and disco ball of the Fri/Sat publics.

With any luck the schedule will change a bit in the summer.

1x midweek morning public session on ice, work permitting
1x weekend public session @ inline rink
about 1hr a few times per week outdoors on inlines, weather and work permitting.

Jamie

Sunday 1 hr adult public
Wednesday 1.5 hr synchro
Friday and Saturday 45 min freestyle including 15 minute private
Plus sometimes a public on Monday or Saturday

Meli

An hour on Tuesday evenings (usually in a lesson), an hour to an hour and a half on Friday evenings (depending on how annoyed I get at the rough crowd and rougher ice), and two to three hours each on Saturdays and Sundays.

I'm looking into options at a couple of rinks to see what I can do to up my ice time.  Usually around late April hockey season will end and I'll be able to skate six days a week.

rd350

I skated so much more in the summer!  3-5 times/week around 2-3+ hours.

Last few months so many factors decreased this.  I think I skated twice last week for 45 minutes one day and 1:15 the other.

Breaking in my new boots now and not bringing 2 pairs so while I'm at the rink I am off ice more than normal, with boots off and re-tying.  Once the break in is over, I'm going to shoot for at least 3 days/wk and get back to lessons.

Ugh, I've only been to one group lesson in all of January, and that's it! (But, we did just move... Is that an excuse? There's a rink 5 min away too!) gotta focus and get a really good practice schedule going for 2015!

cbskater

In a normal week I skate 3 times for a total of about 6 hours. This includes one 45 min group lesson & one 30 minute private lesson. My sessions are split up between public & freestyle ice. It depends on when I can get to the rink & whether school is out.  :-X Freestyle for sure if it is! I also take a 30 minute off ice class every week.

In preparation for my competition last October, I was skating 4-5 days a week & added an additional private lesson in the 6 weeks pre competition. I wish I could stick to that schedule but my job & life in general makes that difficult. It doesn't help that the rink is 30 minutes away also.
