AFIAK the 121 isn't available in a wide width for men (or boys).   I would definitely verify that they are actually wide and not medium width when they come in.

Good catch sarahspins! http://www.ice.riedellskates.com/SearchResult.aspx?SearchCriteria=121

I just picked up my skates!  :) They are the Riedell 121's in a Mens' D width (which seems to be a really new thing--it wasn't mentioned in the 2012 catalog I had). My skate fitter seemed happy with the way they fit me and I like how they don't hurt like the too narrow rentals I've been wearing. :) (Although I'm grateful that the rentals were included in the price when I was just beginning...I'm so happy to have my own!)

Great update!  Glad to know those now come in wide widths, too! :)

I know--seeing the sticker that said "New Wider Width" on the box was a very happy moment.  :)
