No, I'll talk about it in as much detail as people want if we're chatting about exercise or whatever.  I post about it on facebook similar to my cross-fit or running friends.

Since I don't have a poker face it is not a secret from family, friends or colleagues.  My coach is able to work with me in the mornings before my work day begins so I often arrive at work exhilarated with the lesson I've just had.  I am in my mid 50's and have been skating for about 7 months.

I wouldn't say it's a secret, but as I've only just started up again as an adult (age 22 - learned originally aged 7 or 8) I'm being selective about who knows, for now.

My family are being amazingly supportive, as is my boyfriend (who watched my first proper lesson on Thursday) - he's even giving me money as a Christmas present "because I know it'll go on something skating related, but I know nothing about skating so didn't want to get you the wrong thing" I might use the money towards some new skating clothes.

The friends I have told think it's cool, one is looking into the Skate UK sessions at our local rink. The rest of my friends will understand, I'd just like to have made a bit more progress before I broadcast the fact lol! I don't have a job yet, but when I do, I'm hoping I can have a day off in the week to skate, and work one day each weekend :)

I have also only just taken up skating again, but I'm not keeping it a secret at all! I'm pretty excited about it, for reals! I don't think my friends would have any frame of reference for how hard I've been nerding out about it at the moment though. :)
