Oh boy.  It's here.  Test day for the Pre-Bronze MITF & FS!  All night long I was skating the elements in my head, whether asleep or awake.  I've had 2 days of practice at the testing rink so it won't be foreign to be out on that sheet of ice.  I'm a bit nervous.  My 1 foot and 2 foot spins are my weakest skills.  Sometimes, I nail them, with foot by my knee, and get 5 or 6 revolutions.  Other times, I barely get around twice before tipping over and saving myself by stopping.  Uh oh.  The other issue with spins is that I am crazy dizzy after doing one so my exit is not as graceful as I'd like.  I come out in a landing position and then have to go on 2 feet to "finish" (or present) and I can't see straight.

I will go to the rink today for more 2 hours of practice before the test. Fingers crossed!

Bravo!!!  You will do great!!!! Be careful not to wear yourself out this close to the test though, just little skating to boost your confidence and get the legs under you. lots of good luck :) :)

I didnt realized your test was already here! Good luck but  I know you will be fine.
Word of warning, make sure  after three weeks your test is registared  with USFSA. The one Drew took with one of your clubs down there  isnt and I cant register him for regionals until I get it taken care of.
Have  fun!!!

Congratulations, Sarah!  Rock on!

Thanks, everyone.  Just got back from 2 hours of practice.  I'll be at the rink in 3 hours for my test.  Woah.

Good luck.  Skate well and let us know how you did

Well, that was INTENSE!  At first, during the first 2 minutes of the 5 minute warm up, I was fine.  Then, my legs got wobbly and I had really shaky edges.  Being the VERY FIRST person to go was a good thing.  I couldn't get nervous watching others.  MITF went smooth as silk.  FS test was solid except for my 1 footed spin (I KNEW IT!) and I was asked to reskate that element.  In the end, I pass BOTH!   :sweat  Woo hoo!  I'll make a video of the tests tomorrow and write up the judges' summary.

Thank goodness that's behind me.  Um, why did I just print the Bronze MITF patterns?  I'm a glutton for punishment.

Thank you all!

Congratulations, can't wait to see the video and comments. Knew you would nail the moves in the field, and very happy the spins were under control too :)

sarahspins

Yay!  I'm so glad it went well for you :)

If you want to talk glutton for punishment, I've been working on silver, gold, and some intermediate moves too... now I get to really focus on silver since it's the next one up.

My tests from yesterday are already listed in my online profile.. so I'm not sure the process should ever take very long?  I actually didn't expect them to show up already, so I was surprised that they do.

Clubs have 21 days, but your person must have been on the ball to put them in so fast.!!Congrats on passing!
They are putting DS test in, but I am glad I found out now instead of the deadline for regionals. It was just an oversight but its still inportant!
