I cleaned my boots yesterday.  Today I went to a strange rink.  The last thing I did was a lunge.  When I got off the ice I had white powder on the ball of my boot.  Where did it come from?

Maybe those of you who are white-booted would never notice such a thing.

Does your rink tint their ice?  Mine uses titanium oxide to "brighten" the ice and it can leave a whitish residue.

I sometimes see that on my boot covers too, but usually in winter IIRC.

That happened to me the other day, I skated at a different rink from my own and when I came home I realised I had white powder all up my left side (on my black leggings and jacket)
probably wouldn't have noticed on my boots since they are white :P
