At the US Adult National Championships, US Figure Skating offered a try-out of "FitSkate."  It's an on-ice workout for strength and conditioning.

They issued a press release here: https://www.usfigureskating.org/news/article/fitskate-provides-unique-ways-stay-fit-ice

A few rinks around the US are trialing the program and offering it as a weekly class for adult skaters, both figure skaters and hockey players.

From the few videos I've seen on Facebook, they use yoga mats on the ice to do core workouts, like planks, sitting twists and superskater/swimmer exercises.  They also do "running in place" cardio at the boards and some one-foot gliding maneuvers while changing body positions.

The program is supposed to roll out to all programs/clubs this Fall, so check with your facility.

Just an observation: these are standard exercises at gyms, so that might be a less-expensive option for cross-training than doing pushups on the ice.  Other than the glide-change-position video, most off-ice workouts include all of these exercises.  A yoga mat is all you would need in terms of equipment, so why not work out off-ice?  Just being cost-conscious.
