Further to my previous post - still looking into boots but I would like to find somewhere that stocks the Jackson UB70 lite blades.  I have tried searching via Google and can't find anyone who stocks them.  I have even emailed Jackson direct - no response as yet!  Have they perhaps been discontinued/replaced with something else?

The absence of a reference at jacksonultima.com suggests that the product is no longer being made - maybe this is the same thing as the "ultima lite" blades. I don't know why they stopped making those - perhaps they occasionally broke? Regardless, the Matrix version of the Lite blades were the really lightweight ones.

Anyway, if you get a blade that is no longer made, and you get too used to it, you may not be able to replace it later.

Thanks for the link Agnesnitt. I have actually already found the Hockeyboss site, but they are out of stock.  I eventually received a response from Jackson to my enquiry about these blades and they were indeed discontinued a couple of years back.  All I can do now is to see if I can find anyone that has any left in their stock room!!  :-\

Thanks Query - as you can see above they are discontinued and you do have a point - I might get too used to them.  I am going to have a look at the new Jackson Lite range and see if anything catches my eye!!

when I searched and could only find that one link I thought that might be because they were  discontinued.

Some of those, like the ebay ones, might still be real.

It is possible that the Lites were the lightest weight high level blades designed for modern figure skating - quite possibly lighter than the blades with carbon fiber (MK and Wilson "Revolution") or titanium (several brands) chassis.
