it's always a big day when it's finally warm enough to wear cuter clothes and not be layered up like the Michelin man - I busted out my practice dress today for the first time since August. I smiled every time I got a look in the glass. :D

Here's to hoping the warmer weather sticks around for awhile!

Agreed! I'm still cold indoors though. Doh! But yay for your practice dress!!!

It was a gorgeous day here yesterday but went to the rink and I could see my breath.  Obvs weather doesn't effect that rink, lol.

Jealous!!! We are still wearing Gloves and winter jackets here in Belgium, even outside the rink!!!

but yay for practice dress!!!

Don't mean to rub it in . . . .but here in Southwest Florida . . . . we actually sweat on the ice!  We wear dresses or t-shirts/leggings only.  I have two old pairs of sweater tights in my closet from years ago.  Ain't no way I could wear those.  I also have a pair of polar tech zip on/off pants.  I'd roast.  I should bring them to the rink, just so the girls could say, "What ARE THOSE?"

I think my rink should have an Adult training week in January or February.  About the time you all are freezing with 10 feet of snow.  Skate in the morning, and then go to Naples/Estero beach/kayak/boating/golf in the afternoon.  We even have a few olympic coaches.  Anyone interested?

Sounds nice!! January/February weather depresses me. Is it still humid down there in the winter? I would totally be in for an adult training week, haha!

Neverdull44

No, it's not humid from about the end of October until Mid-May.  Today and tomorrow are absolutely glorious weather.  April & early May are truly our best months because the ocean gets very clear due to the dry season and its almost bathwater warm.

Do you guys get that hazy/misty aura in the rink when it gets humid? Ours does... it's really eerie when it's thick in the mornings. Sometimes you can't see the other side very well.

Very cool stuff... winter skaters don't know what they're missing.

Very nice...for those who it's almost summer for.

Here, it's nearly full winter. Pants, tights, jumpers, gloves.  :(
"Three months in figure skating is nothing. Three months is like 5 minutes in a day. 5 minutes in 24 hours - that's how long you've been working on this. And that's not long at all. You are 1000% better than you were 5 minutes ago." -- My coach
