This looks like a lot of fun!  They've combined competition and skating show, making both participatory for anyone interested in performing.

Dear skating coaches and rink staff:

You and your students are cordially invited to attend The 42nd Annual Robert Unger ISI Skating Competition in Knoxville, Tennessee April 1-3, 2011.   You are also welcome to participate in our Sunday show, "Mamma Mia On Ice" featuring skaters from many different rinks performing special Ensemble and Production Numbers.  (There is no charge for audience admission.)  If you wish to participate in the show, please e-mail us ASAP to choose from among the remaining musical pieces still available.

This competition, formerly known as the Mississippi Valley District Competition (MVDC), is the oldest continuously running ISI skating competition in the world.

Events include:

Tots, Special Skater, Pre-Alpha -- Delta, Freestyle, Footwork, Stroking, Figures, Dance, Pairs, Team Compulsories, Solo Compulsories, Artistic Skating, Production, Jump & Spin, Ensemble, Synchronized Events, Interpretive Spotlight, Spotlight (Light Entertainment, Dramatic, or Character), Family Spotlight, Couples Spotlight, and the new Open Freestyle events.

We will use our stage lighting and follow spots for all spotlight events!
