Hi folks,

I'm trying to part with a pair of gently used too-wide, too-long semi-custom Riedell 1310LS skates with attached Coronation Aces.  Trouble is, being semi-custom, the left skate is 1/2 size smaller than the right - 6.5 c/b and 7 c/b.  The pro shop oversized me but insisted they measured correctly so I have no recourse.  I should have questioned them the day I was fit considering my existing skates are a 6 b/a.  I can't use these, but my old pair (nearing 4 years of use) are in dire need of replacement, and I have to sell these first.

If you just happen to use this model skate and have very disproportionate tootsies such as I do, a bargain may be in your future.  :)

Look at this on eBay:

These skates are sold.  Thanks for looking!   ;)

Did the buyer seriously have the same sizing????? Wow.

Based on our email communications, I think possibly yes.  The purchaser wore a 6.5 regular (B/A) but said they were too narrow, and she indicated she had a toe issue on the right foot that called for more room.  I suggested the size charts and to measure, measure, and measure again to be totally sure.

The irony is this was never really my size at all.  :)  I went for a fitting right after a looooonngg skate session and I swear my feet must've been wicked swollen.  I am still wearing my old Elite Royal 900's in a 6 B/A that fit fine width-wise after tons of punching out through the ball area by a pro (coming up on 4 years of use and boy are they getting worn out).  And indeed, the left skate always feels looser than the right.  Thinking I'm R - 6 C/A and L - 5.5 C/A.  Not that I will ever, ever take a chance and buy customs again.

Really wish they would still make the old school Elite Royals...  :'(

This was so interesting, happy that the skates found the right owners.

I should measure my right foot again, it never quite settled in my current boots while the left is perfectly fine.

I've decided on an entirely different solution.  Leather is so easily punched out, I'm just going to size to the left foot and stretch to fit the right.  Why not.  Beats the heck out of custom prices!

My new skates will arrive tomorrow.  I'm SO excited!
