Wow.  That's a shocker to an outsider like me.

Well, I wonder what it's really about. The story is confusing: he's 'not' there, Zoueva wants to focus on the top teams, Shpilband want to focus on the 'kids' (new teams?). I wish the writer understood skating better.

It's going to be interesting. Zoueva was a pairs skater, Igor the ice dancer. They all seemed hunky dory during the Skating interview.

wow fsu will explode... It's probably not going to be as dramatic as Kim-Orser episode but has tons of potential.

FSU *has* exploded. 20+ pages in the last 24 hrs. . . speculation galore!

I think Zoueva was an ice dancer but did pairs choreography... most notably for Gordeeva and Grinkov.

I doubt we will get the whole story but we will see who is standing with who at next fall's GP series competitions!

Just mentally bouncing ideas around. Generally, what gets people fired abruptly?

1. Machinations of jealous rival slipping the knife in

2. Charging for services never rendered (financial fraud)

3. Failing to meet contractual obligations.

4. Criminal activity (assault, sexual harassment, abuse, ....)

5. Conflict of interests (everything else)

I suppose if some of the skaters follow him we can guess it's 1 or 5. If none of them follow, then that leaves it open for 2-4. I don't know how contracts are written for elites, maybe the skaters are tied up in ways we don't understand.

I'm looking around for some popcorn for the show.  :pop
