Adult Bronze Moves (May 18)

Query

It's been out for years.

It also looks like it could be used to tighten each level at a separate tension level, and to make it easier to tighten the boot. Essentially, for sailors, each level is a separate jam cleat.

I've never used it, but someone on this forum liked it.

Is it being marketed as a medical device? Can't see why else the FDA would care.

I've never seen this product before. Looks neat, but lace bite is not a problem I've had.

However, is this post an ad? The poster didn't comment on it, just linked, and they have no other posts.

That is what I was wondering.

However, is this post an ad?

More like spam than an ad, as they got it for free.

Not sure where lace bite "bites" others, but that device wouldn't help me - when my tongues eventually break down sufficiently that I'm copping lace bite, it invariably starts across the highest row of holes, below where this device starts.

Sorry. I was reading this on mobile site before. This really does look like spam.

And aussieskater, I agree. I get lace bite at where my ankle bends.

I agree, It's spam. Not a horrible nasty spam for shoes or cigars, or  viagra or anything; it's a skating relevant ad,and in the right place in the boards. Since it's a topic worth discussing and not intrusive let's let it ride its course.

I would like to try this to keep the laces on my right boot from slipping, but I don't think it would work on a dance boot.
Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/

RinkGuard

It's spam.
I'm locking off the postings, but I'll ask FigureSpins if she wants to delete it. It is a skating product. It would have been okay to post it in the catalogs thread.

I would consider this a promotion or advertisement, albeit a weak one, moreso than spam.  The product itself was mentioned in a post some time ago by an active member.

Spam advertisements are posted willy-nilly on any open message board.  It's typically posted by spambots, which Jim and I handle every day without any of you being the wiser.

While the biggest offenders are pharmaceuticals and porn, spambots are also used to market sneaker sales, golf products, knock-off purses and a myriad of other items.  Again, on any forum or open comment box it can locate.

This is clearly a product being marketed to figure skaters.  It was in the wrong forum (since moved) and I thank those who contributed their opinions about the usefulness of the product itself.  Never having had lace bite, I wouldn't know if this would help or not.

This is a product that my brother manufactures. The idea was presented to him by a former student while he was teaching at a local college. He owns the rights to sell and manufacture the product and I was just posting here to try and get him some business. If you have any questions about the product I would be more than happy to help.
