I know that Gam has been bought by Jackson, but I'd just like to know from you guys what the noticable differences with fit are between the two. I'm trying to decide from a land far far away what skates to purchase and it's been a hard battle between these two brands, except I'm not sure how Gam skates fit because there aren't many brands available over here in the Philippines. I've had Jacksons before and they were fine. Is there any significant difference?

IMHO, Gam's tend to be the cheaper not as well manufactured version of Jacksons. Personally if the Jacksons fit you well and you had no problems with them. Go with the Jacksons.

I can't find the post but recall reading that GAMS are narrower in the heel and wider in the toe box than Jacksons. If you have had Jacksons and they fit well / have had no problems, and you can't try the new boots on, then I would stick with what you know.

I have skated on both.  I would say the quality is about the same.  Gam is wider in the toes.  Also has a bit lower of a heel.  Both are good choices, but if you can't try the boots on, I'd stick with what you know will fit (Jackson).
