element, I never seem to have my camcorder with me? She jumped an amazingly beautiful axel today! It had great height, a solid landing and a strong upright check-out! It was gorgeous! I saw her land it and thought it was one of the best axels she has ever landed. I never know if I am seeing things as they are with my untrained eye, but dd came off the ice after her lesson and told me her coach said the same thing! I guess I wasn't too far off the mark that time! Too bad I didn't catch it on video! Maybe she will repeat it tomorrow during the competition?? Hee hee!! One never knows... figure skating is definitely not predictable! She's had a couple of GREAT practices... fingers crossed it carries over into tomorrow morning and for the comp! :)

Murphy's Law of skating, I guess!  Several of us were doing loop jumps...and the young lady working on her loop landed hers on one foot! Of course, none of us saw it because we were watching another skater. And she couldn't do it again.
Avoiding the Silver Moves Mohawk click-of-death!!!

Same reason that stuff like that never happens when a coach is watching...

At least you saw it!

This is true. Good that I saw it! So did her coach, so that is good! They weren't as pretty in her program today but she DID land both and had a good program! YAY!

Your skater will no doubt do it again. :)

Yes and hopefully I have the camcorder going whens he does do it. Of coarse, they weren't near as pretty today but we're happy she landed them and skated a relatively clean program! :)

I always say, "you did it once, you WILL do it again!!!" And she will, and they will come more frequently!
