I know... and it comes in chunks it seems... right after a two week break, suddenly the double doubles were clean and there most of the time!

Not uncommon ... the break seems to trigger progress in kids, as it helps heal nagging injuries, allows for mental "refreshment" and seems to kick in muscle memory.

Yes, and she did have a couple of minor nagging injuries... she stayed in shape while we were gone, but just being off the ice seemed to refresh her.

I was surprised that my dd's month break had an incredible impact.  I had been worried that she would lose progress made, but she went from landing 2 sal and occasionally 2 tow (mostly not with a 1/4 off) to landing everything up to double loop consistently in a couple of days.  It does have its downsides though as her axel is way overroated and she falls on every one!  One step forward....

That is awesome! I haven't been able to log in here in quite some time so I'm just catching up on posts.  How's it coming along now?

They haven't worked on it much... our regionals is in only two weeks, so they are more concentrating on making the double doubles 100% rotated and landed, and getting level 4 on the spins!   But I am sure once regionals passes, they'll be back to it.   She is tall (5 ft 2 inches at not quite 11 years old) and her coaches really want her to start feeling the triples before she grows more fast!

That makes sense.  I keep forgetting that some regions are starting so soon.  We have another month. I think I'd rather have it over with!
Good luck at regionals. :-)
