Same ... stuff, different day. Sigh.

Phil Hersh is reporting that the 2011 World Figure Skating competition will not be broadcast over the air by NBC.

Universal Sports will carry same-day delayed coverage on their cable channel

Live internet streaming will be available at either icenetwork or universalsports.com.
$9.95 for a subscription, $4.95 for existing icenetwork subscribers.  ???

Well, nuts! I was hoping I'd see TV coverage.

I'll bet the athletes are disappointed too. It represents a lot of hard work in near-obscurity.

I'll keep an eye out for other broadcasts.  I've grown to like listening to commentary in foreign languages.  I'm hoping to find a german stream this time.  (I do get Universal Sports over the air, though, so I could just watch the delay broadcast.
