Good sports medicine podiatrists near DC/Maryland/Virginia?

I have noticed a stiffness and numbness in my big toes (maybe hallux rigidus??), and I'd also like an evaluation by a trained medical expert on they way I have modified my boots, partly so to help me fit new custom boots in the future.

I know of 3 podiatrists who other skaters near D.C. said they were happy with - Paul Meissner, Michael Donato, and Jonathon P. Contompasis (a bit further away).

But none of these are in-network for my United Healthcare insurance program - nor would they be if I switched to CareFirst, my only other choice.

Do you know of other podiatrists in or near that area you can recommend?

If not, do you know any good Orthopedists in the area who specialize in foot and ankle problems?
