There are 4 options on what the rink will be like:
a. empty except for the serious skater
b. packed with moms and kids
c. packed with kids
d. packed with hockey kids because they think it will be empty and instead will be filled with figure skaters.

Will you skate or not?

I probably won't but that might be a good idea - I usually find our city is unbelievably quiet on Super Bowl Sunday and I generally don't understand why... until I realize what day it is!

Yep.  Crowded or not I need ice time before my next coached lesson Tuesday.  If it's too nuts to get in a complete pattern (which it would be any normal Sunday) I'll break the Cha-Cha into pieces and keep working.  Oh, and there is at the very least an option e:  one end coned off for the dreaded birthday party.

I will be skiing until 2:30 pm then driving home to NC from VA so I usually don't try to watch it.

It doesn't start until 6:30 Eastern time (I had to look it up) and our public sessions end well before that, so I suspect it'll be the usual madhouse there tomorrow.  My plan (which is my usual Sunday plan) is to focus on teaching prep for Tuesday so I can take the time to hit the quiet adult session Monday morning.

Yeah the parents will put the kids on the ice to exhaust them so it will be crowded!

We had about a third of the normal at club ice and they cancelled men's hockey games after. It was pretty quiet. I did my lesson with only two other skaters.

Our rink featured a birthday party (as previously dreaded) and as a result the rink was heaving with wobbly adults and offspring. After a look-see I almost went home but decided that ice time is ice time and I needed to dust off the Cha-Cha before my Tuesday lesson.  As can be imagined, lots of undisciplined EZ-skater skating.   Sadly, one of the birthday party dads when down face first onto the ice.  Blood all over the deck.  Everyone off the ice for 30 minutes.  I figured that this would thin the remaining herd but nope, when we were permitted back on it was as crowded as at first.  No word on the dad's outcome.

Had in-laws visiting Saturday all afternoon, so I used Sunday as a day to recover.

I was too tired to skate on Sunday, so I washed my car, listened to music, and took an afternoon nap. Needless to say, I didn't get much done. Didn't watch the game either.
