Take a minute and wish our wonderful board, now in its third incarnation, a happy anniversary!

What's your favorite memory or feature of skatingforums.com?

My favorite thing, which we don't do any more, were the "talk like a pirate" parties that took place a few times in September.  Gary really got into the spirit, flirting and arrrggg'ing left and right.  It was fun.  He passed away and the parties died with him, but I still think of both from time to time, especially as September rolls around.

Believe it or not I actually miss some of the political discussions we used to have - can't remember if it was after the 2000 election or 2004-era or even later but compared to what we see on the internet now these discussions were generally pretty civil!

Also some of the skating-fan discussions were good.  I do miss a lot of the members who are no longer participating.  I have learned a lot from this group though I have to say!  It's nice seeing what people from all over the country and all over the world are experiencing in terms of their own skating, their clubs, equipment etc.

Yea skatingforums!  Happy anniversary!

I miss Mrs Redboots and there were a couple of other skaters who gave good technical advice. I remember a wonderful thread from Board II, on how to check three turns, that I've never been able to find again on Zachariah's archive.  :'(
Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/
