So I like skating warhorses, shoot me  :P

Anyway, I decided a little while ago that my Adult Bronze program was going to be Tango de Roxanne, for two reasons: first, I looooooooove the music, and second, I already have a Tango-themed dress.

Only problem is that I'm having a hard time finding a version without the lyrics - and I hate the lyrics of Roxanne!

I was going to buy Edvin Marton's version from his website (I did the same for TA) but he doesn't do that anymore, apparently!

O knowledgeable people of skatingforums....please help?
"Three months in figure skating is nothing. Three months is like 5 minutes in a day. 5 minutes in 24 hours - that's how long you've been working on this. And that's not long at all. You are 1000% better than you were 5 minutes ago." -- My coach

Vanessa Mae's Tango de Los Exilados is pretty similar.  I think you have to buy the whole album to get that track, though.

I really like this one:

There's also this one. The melody sounds a little bit canned though.

I just searched tango de roxanne instrumental on youtube, there were some other results too.

Thanks guys!

I probably didn't word my question correctly - I was more looking for a place I could purchase or otherwise legally download the instrumental :)

I just searched iTunes and got a couple of hits. There's a track on a french karaoke album called Karaoke Instrumental vol I by BCSV Orchestra and also one on an album called Ciak Si Suona by Classic Movies Quartet.

Additionally, you could reach out to the Chilla Quartet for permission as they don't seem to sell their music. This is their email chillaquartet@gmail.com.

FWIW, the music for Tango de Roxanne was apparently composed in the 50s. Search for Tanguera by Mariano Mores for some more alternatives.

The classical music seller Arkiv Music has some CDs with it.
