Ahhh Rental Skates...

Does anyone know who makes the typical tan leather rentals with brown laces and if they run like one's street shoe size?

This is terrible but there's a little girl (5 or 6) in my daughter's basic 3 who you can see is in agony in them and seriously even a pair of used soft skates/reidell 110s would be better for her! I wonder if her mom would be insulted if I handed her kid a pair of skates.

I would just strike up a conversation along the lines of "Hey, my daughter outgrew her skates. If they would fit your daughter, she's more than welcome to them!" I'd probably not mention how miserable she looks in the rentals.
