The 2011 Colonial Adult Winter Challenge is coming up in March and I am surprised that nobody has posted on it.  The Early Bird deadline has passed and the entry deadline is January 15th.  The competition is March 19-20 in Boxborough, MA.  I didn't realize that Stormy was out of commission, I am sure she would have posted about it.

This was my first competition last year and was how I first became involved with skatingforums.  It was a lot of fun being around all of the adult skaters and everyone was very supportive.  If you are on the middle to upper east coast and an adult skater, you should come out.  If you don't have a program, there are moves and spin events.

Is anyone going?

I will be there coaching! It's a great event and we always have a good time at Colonial competitions. Good luck to anyone who will be competing!

I've been off Skatingforums for a while, and yes, out of commission from skating for a bit but well on my way to recovery.   The deadline for the Winter Challenge is Saturday so don't forget to sign up if you already haven't!  As of right now the competition looks like it will run only on Saturday again if that's a help to anyone.
Where are we going, and why are we in this handbasket?

Registration deadline has been extended:

Great News! We've extended the registration deadline for the Colonial Adult Winter Challenge to January 24, 2011. No late fee if you register by that date. Don't miss out on the opportunity to compete at Colonial FSC this year!  We have IJS for Masters and Gold Singles events this year.  Hope to see you at the competition!

If you are in range (I am 4 hours away and the drive is not that bad) this is a great competition.  It is all adults and very supportive.  A great way to meet new friends, and see old ones, too.

I will be skating! The deadline has been extended until January 24th. I look forward to seeing all the adult skaters there~ It was a great competition last year, so I would recommend it to anyone that can come and compete to do so!
