That was my exact story - birthday party age 9 ... only I lacked the talent, dedication, financial support ... to get past Prelim~!

I didn't see the interview but I knew the story of how she started skating-cause that's my rink!  One of my friends was her neighbor when they lived here.  And it's kind of funny because I had heard quite a while ago around the rink that she had started here, etc. but my friend just recently made the connection.  They had moved away before we started skating so I've never met her or anything exciting like that.
