Maybe I was dreaming, but...

Does anyone remember seeing a website or a youtube link to videos where some guy posted skating programs from popular skaters and breaks down what judges may be looking for?  I remember one was Johnny Weir and he received lower scores on his footwork.  I remember after seeing 2 different Johnny Weir programs with almost the exact same footwork and thinking that was odd.

Am I imagining this or was it real?

Thanks!

I'm not sure I've seen what you are referring to, but skaters often reuse all or part of their footwork sequences.. it's just easier if they are already used to skating those steps.

I understand that, thanks.  What I'm referring to are a bunch of actual videos wherein the commentator (who I believe is Russian), indicates the level of various elements such as footwork, spins and jumps.  I think I saw it here, but I can't remember where I can see the videos.

Thanks.

I think you're thinking of this series on transitions from the ISU which is on YouTube. This is just the first video in the series but if you visit the channel's page, you can find the whole playlist of videos on transitions and the video analyzing Johnny Weir's programs is in there.  The same user also has videos on evaluating all the different scores that make up the Program Component Score (PCS).

I've been watching all of these ISU videos since you posted and I think this may be the Johnny Weir one you remember.
