Hi slusher, wondering where you ordered your custom Jacksons from, and what size you are.

Does anyone know if the Skating Boutique in Toronto has skate fitting personnel on weekends? I'd really like to go, but they did not reply to my email about this. I asked them if Sat is ok and would there be somebody there, and what time etc.  Anyone?
It is a 2.5 hr drive one way for me, and it would really suck if I got there and they said "oh, the guy who orders skates is off this weekend".  My experiences thus far have led me to expect the worst, weekend staff just collect money at the till.

Have you tried to call them and make a fitting appointment for a specific time? Good luck!!

I would assume yes because that is when they get lots of business.  I would suggest calling them to find out for sure.

I hope to get over there on Friday for some skate tape so I could always ask when I am there.

Calling tomorrow, 12 hrs work today, beat... got home 8pm. :blank:

They certainly do have "fitters" on site on the weekends. However, I would strongly suggest that you call ahead. As you want to be efficient, contacting Jason, or Adam, or one of the other senior staff and letting them know that you are coming and what you are looking for would be good. That way, they could work with you to have your needs met.  We always, always call ahead; a few times they've suggested holding off for a few days until they can order something particular in for us to try on, plus, we can chat over the phone so that they know, when we come in, what to have waiting for us to look at.

Plus, if it is a weekend where they are, for example, representing at a major competition - they are title sponsors to many in Canada in support of the sport - they might suggest a different weekend for best service.

BTW: on many nights, they are open until 9 p.m.

Great news! Got to Toronto and had my boots punched and widened. Hopefully I'll get another year out of them. Thanks for all the help :)

Great news.  Did you try on any new boots?  Did this do all this at the Boutique?  It is a great store isn't it?

ONskater74

No, didn't try any boots on. Yes I got the work done at the Skating Boutique! Bought a spare pair of laces, as the local stores don't carry black laces.
