Saw this on the web today.  Nice idea - the comments are pretty good, too.

QuoteWant to take your winter sport of choice to the next level?

Joining a yoga class once or twice a week will increase your focus and agility in other sports, by stretching your muscles and tendons and increasing your flexibility.

Below are the steps to Dancer's pose (Natarajasana). This pose helps you develop concentration and balance, strengthens and tones your leg muscles, and opens your shoulder and chest muscles.

Thank you for sharing! I remember seeing this one before and amused about the idea of adding "neck weights" :)

Yes - TFS! I will try this position.

My DD and I did a yoga for skaters class at our rink this summer.  It helped so much especially helped me to keep my shoulders down. Unfortunately, it is not continuing for fall and the time of the regular yoga class conflicts with my ice time.

We did the tree pose quite a bit.  Then we moved to the H, D, and landing positions.

I have been dying to take a yoga class!!!  I honestly don't even know where to start though...I know it would probably help my skating a lot :)
