I ended up in the ER last night when they needed to do an ultrasound on my leg to rule out blood clots as a cause for its swelling up (all clear, no worries).

The ultrasound tech kept saying things like "I've never worked on someone with such solid muscle tone in their legs before!" I just smiled & said, "Well, I'm a figure skater."  ;D ;D

The ER visit sounds bad.  :-\

But congrats on the compliment!  ;D
Yes I'm in with the 90's. I have a skating blog. http://icedoesntcare.blogspot.com/

Oh man!!!  I'm sorry to hear about your trip to the ER, but I agree with AgnesNitt on it being a nice compliment ;)

Oh dear, hope your leg is ok.

I had a similar comment from my gynae after the caesarian for my first child. BUT I was quite worried that she had to "cut through the muscle" (so much for all that core workouts). I was none the worse for it when I got back to the ice after, but I would rather not do it again. So, I have quite a decision to make soon, now that I'm expecting my second...

Congratulations!  I had my twins non-surgically eight years after my oldest DD was born via c-section.

The recovery time was incredibly easier with the twins.

Thank you, I'm going back to my regular doc tomorrow. I rather expect to be given more tests, and then told (again) "we have no idea"...... *sigh* meanwhile putting on skates is painful, so still not able to get back into a regular practice schedule. Skated last night, for as long as I could stand it: 1/2 hour. :(
