Have you seen this  http://www.usfsashop.com/U_S_Figure_Skating_Women_s_Adult_Jacket_p/fsl7943l.htm  ?
What do you think?

It's pricy at $125, but I may get one.  The zipper on my club jacket just busted and it is going to be at least $70 to get a new one.  More if I get the Lululemon one.

The sizing also makes me a little nervous.  I am very pear shaped.  I usually wear one size on top and another on the bottom.  So if it goes down on the hip too much, I'd have to order up.  Plus you can't do a return due to custom embroidery.

I'm sort of in-between sizes too.. so I'm curious as well.

If you are interested, a dry cleaner can replace the zipper for about $10.

I really wanted to buy this when it came out, however I agree with you that it is quite pricy...I don't have a club jacket so I've pondered the thought of getting one, maybe for my birthday ;)

I have an anniversary coming up at the end of the month.  My DH likes to buy jewelry, but maybe I can talk him into this instead.

A tailor is the easiest solution and well worth the $10-20 cost.  You can even have them put in a different type of zipper; I like the two-way zippers in my skating jackets so I can unzip the lower part to demonstrate hip crease and position.

If the zipper pull itself broke, fabric stores like JoAnn and Hancock sell replacement pull kits. I've salvaged many jackets and a few sport bags.  The kit comes with an assortment of pulls and instructions on how to remove the old one and put on a new one.  For $4, it's worth a try.

One of my friend's mothers is a former professional seamstress.  She had a jacket with a broken zipper, so she just trimmed off the zipper entirely and installed snaps down the front.  It looked really sharp.  She said the zipper was cumbersome for the car anyway.
