The ceaseless practice of the last few months has finally paid off.

I spun!

I've never been able to do a 1 foot scratch spin from a back crossover, without traveling, except once in a while when I was trying to travel (i.e., twizzle).

My (relatively) new coach has given me some new (to me) techniques to try, broken down into microsteps, and timed differently. The only problem is, there are zillions of things to remember from entrance to spin. There isn't time to go through the sequence in my head while my body does it.

Week, after week, I kept getting the sequence wrong, and it didn't work.

So I tried slowing the entry down to the point I almost fall over.

:angel It worked! :BS:

Not only did it stay centered, but the final spin was actually faster than with a normal speed entry (which shows just how far off the original entry was).

It's nothing like consistent. And the edge circle still moves slightly, though not in a consistent direction.

But there is hope!

I'm so happy.

P.S. My coach also gave me a new (to me) way to avoid memorizing doing things wrong: As soon as something starts to mess up, STOP.

If you're not falling, you're not working hard enough...
