Can the condition of the ice affect your skating?

The ice was so bad coach was stroking along and nearly fell. I was shocked. That never happens.

Mostly I only have bad ice when hockey's been on beforehand. I did go to a rink once in which the practice rink actually rolled up and down. Like, you'd be skating along, and you would feel yourself roll downhill, then you'd have to push extra hard to go uphill. 


We have that in the zam corner. It rules out that hockey circle for practice. And it's the good circle, since it's away from the entrance door and the ice tourists don't skate across it. :P pleagh!
