Hi: New member, first post. My husband and I are former ice dance competitors now living in Scotland and wanting to get back into dance just for recreation. We both need new boots. I wear Risport, he wears Jacksons. We know the models we want, just need to check our feet sizes in case of any change. We've heard only Everglides and Al's recommended as the best skate shops in the UK, both needing a day or so off work to travel south for fittings and such. We're surprised there seems to be no one in Scotland of that caliber, given the number of good skaters coming out of, for instance, Dundee. Is there really no one above the border that is good for buyers who know the equipment pretty well? We bought new dance blades last summer while visiting my Mum in Canada, where there's a rink on every corner and a good skate shop kittycorner to it. It's beginning to look as if we might have to get Mum's shop in Vancouver to do a virtual fitting and let her pick our boots up there for us.
