Hi, I will be near DC for a family event over the weekend of Mar 3. Could you please let me know what rinks have weekend freestyle sessions? It looks like Rockville or Cabin John are the closest to where I will be.
Thanks!
Don't forget Kettler which has access by Metro.
Kettler generally has 1.5 hours of freestyle from 6:30-8 on Sunday night... but just be warned that it is always absolutely packed!
Bowie Ice Arena

is on the wrong side of the beltway if you're closer to Cabin John, but I'll mention it anyway. Bowie has great ice. This rink generally has pickup FS sessions 7-8 and 8-9 am on Saturdays but the schedule does change. Go to the web site to check the current month's calendar.
Cabin John session info is at http://www.montgomeryparks.org/parks-and-trails/cabin-john-regional-park/cabin-john-ice-rink/schedules-info
They have a LOT of freestyle sesions - but they sometimes put 30 skaters (a lot) on a freestyle session.
Rockville session info is at http://rockvilleice.pointstreaksites.com/view/rockvilleice - though I think you have to call to get Freestyle times. I haven't skated there in so long I don't know what it is like.
I have a list of web links to all the local rinks at http://alltherinks.com, including a Map link. Check their pages for schedules - but, as always with unfamiliar rinks, call ahead to verify sessions. Be aware the traffic is awful near DC - you can be stuck in traffic for hours, depending on what route you take, and what time of day it is, and on luck. Most sessions are least busy at the start.
Thank you for this comprehensive list! Super helpful!
