Ok...this came to me at my Rink while Skating. What I'd like to ask today is...which Skating moves do you wish you could do? For me it's....
Spiral and 1-Foot Spin.
Anyone else?
Outside spreadeagles and jumps.
outside spread eagles, single jumps, back spin
Twizzles. I can do right forward inside, but all the other forward ones need lots o' work. We're not even going to talk about back ones yet!
mohawks on the left side 88), centered scratch spins, and loop jumps that actually leave the ice more than 1-2 inches.
Spin. Any spin. :bash
more Extension, Lunge, F-pivot, Outside spread eagle, Spin-upright, Biellmann-spiral,
&
Back-glide & edges, Waltz-jumps, Loops, Viennese Waltz, Serpentine step sequence, T-stop; and 4 other skill-sets. What's amazing
is some time ago, I was quite content with 1/3 :) of the goals I have now.
Outside spread eagle and axel...Actually I'm sidelined right now and I would be happy just to get on the ice
Inside 3s...4 years of no inside 3's :bash
QuoteSpin. Any spin. Bash Head
Me too!!
Also, the basic stuff....I feel like no matter what I do, stuff like my edges suck, and I just don't understand what I am doing wrong...
I'd like to have a higher spiral too, but I doubt that's very possible. Even as a kid I was not very flexible; I can't see it getting better now that I'm pushing 30! (I think flexibility largely depends on the person...a very flexible person would probably have more flexibility without working on it than I would have if I worked really hard)
Everything I can't do already... really... everything.
To be more focused however, I really can't wait until I get started on jumps of any kind. They what were attracted me to the sport before I even stepped on the ice.
Outside spread eagles and ina bauers. The lutz...it has been eluding me for many months now. Backwards 3 turns.
