I'm starting a thread for the competitions that are coming up shortly (Isabelle Henderson, Autumn Skate, Souvenir Georges-Ethier, etc).

The competitor confirmations for Isabelle Henderson have been posted at http://www.skating-wos.on.ca/competitions/10hendersonconf.pdf.  The competition takes place September 24-26.

Looking at the entries, there are a few notable entries in dance and pairs.  In dance, Crone/Poirier (assigned to Skate Canada and Skate America) and Ralph/Hill (assigned to Cup of China) are entered here.  In senior pairs Moore-Towers/Moscovitch (assigned to Skate America) are entered.

Also the new pair team of Ameena Sheikh/Michael Stewart are entered here.  As far as I know, this will be their first competition as a team.

Elladj Baldé, Jeremy Ten and Kevin Reynolds in senior mens!  That's a bit of a surprise.  As far as I know, this is the first competition of the season for both Jeremy and Kevin.  Elladj has already skated at Skate Detroit and the Quebec Summer Competition.

The dance fields are much stronger than I expected at a relatively small competition, especially junior dance.

Starting orders are up for Autumn Skate (happening this weekend in Ottawa), but no results yet.  When they are posted they should be here:

They're having problems with the computers at Autumn Skate. All of the Starskate was done OBO, instead of CPC, as a result.  All the Competitive scores were being calculated by hand y'tday as both sets of computers (both rinks) were down. First results weren't even posted until post 1:30 in the afternoon. Needless to say, it may be a bit until the results are up on the EOS website.

I just noticed that Michael Stewart is newly listed on icepartnersearch (www.icepartnersearch.com).  That must mean that his partnership with Ameena Sheikh did not work out.  They were scheduled to skate at the Isabelle Henderson competition this weekend.

That means that there are at least two high-level male pairs skaters in Canada looking for partners (Michael Stewart and Cody Hay).

The entries for Sask Open (October 8-10) are listed at http://www.skatecanadasaskatchewan.com/uploads/files/Entries%20-%20Sask%20Skate.pdf

There are more entries than I expected.  There are a fair number of skaters competing here from BC and Alberta, and even a few from Ontario.

Results from Souvenir Georges-Ethier (in Quebec) are being posted at this link:  http://www.patinage.qc.ca/doc/resultats/GE_2010/resultats_george_ethier_2010.html

The results seem to be pretty up-to-date - good for the Quebec skating federation.

. . . still waiting for Isabelle Henderson results.  Yes I know they use volunteers for the data entry, but it's hard to be patient.

Also the results from Prairie Skate in Saskatchewan have been posted.  They are here:

Eladj Baldé's performance at Octoberfest shows that he's back from injury and ready to be a contendor for the podium at Canadians, I think.  His long program score of 128.77 was his best long program score ever, beating his previous personal best of 123.48 from way back in 2008 at the JGP in South Africa.  The score of 128.77 wasn't just an infllated club competition score, either, since according to the detailed scores he landed six clean triples, including a 3A-3T, and also landed a flawed 3Lz.  His only real error apparently was a fall on a rotated 3A.

Results for the Autumn Leaves competition last weekend in Kamloops, B.C. have been posted.  Link: http://www.skatinginbc.com/content/Competition/2010-Autumn-Leaves-Results.asp

It's a small competition.  I noticed a good performance from Kelsey Wiebe, who I think may be one of the challengers for a medal in juniors at Canadians this year, and the return of Devon Neuls in senior with what appear to be two good skates.  As far as I know she has not been competing for at least one season, and perhaps two season.

Results from the Royal Glenora Invitation Compeition have been posted, at http://www.skateabnwtnun.com/com/10-11Season/Royal_Glenora/HTML_Files/Index.htm.

It's a fairly small competition (no junior or senior men's events, for example).

The results for the BC Coast Regional Championships have been published, at http://www.skatinginbc.com/content/Competition/2011Coast.asp

There are quite a few names that I recognized, including Nam Nguyen (junior bronze medallist at Canadians) and Kitty Qian (7th in juniors at Canadians), as well as Patrick Wong, Andrew Lum and Rika Inoda, all of whom skated on the JGP circuit in the past.
